Default Sort By Date, Ignore Year

I have a need to sort a group of dates, ascending ignoring the year. the list

1/15/1960
1/06/1948
1/21/1980
1/1/1985

would be sorted as

1/1/1985
1/06/1948
1/15/1960
1/21/1980

Can any one help? What is needed to do this?
