Default Scanning & .chk extensions

Try opening one in your favorite text editor (notepad?).

You might be able to salvage bits and pieces (if you've lived a good life). I'm
not sure how much would be salvagable from a file like excel, either.

Are the .chk files which result from scanning with
instructions to 'click fix' be redeemed?

I would like to hear comments, information and/or
instructions on re using those files.

Thanks

Art R.
