Form control not working
Hi,
The Text Box (aka Edit box) on the Froms toolbar is not working in my Excel 2k. It worked yesterday, but today it is not. My worksheet was open when a Copy bat program ran, but that doesn't seem like it should make a difference. I have "reset" the toolbar, but that did nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks |

Form control not working
Solution-
I made the Control Toobar visible, and was able to use the control from there. Why the Forms toolbox won't work is beyone me. Microsoft may have a clever reason for disabling functionality in one location while retaining fuctionality in another, but I don't see why! Duane -----Original Message----- Tom, I opened Excel on another machine, and when I made the Forms toobox visible, the Text Box control was enabled, UNTIL I docked the toolbox on the left side of the screen. I did the same thing on the original machine, and that is when the control stopped working. When I open the worksheet that I have used the control on (100 text boxes), the text boxes don't respond for editing. I have re-installed Excel, to no avail. Still looking for a method to re-enable my Text Box control. Thanks. -----Original Message----- Where is the edit box being use and define not working. if you mean it is disabled on the toolbar - it is only enabled when you have a dialog sheet visible. Form control not working
To the best of my knowledge, the EditBox was not designed to be used on a
worksheet - only on dialog sheets. There is a textbox on the Drawing toolbar that works pretty much like the forms controls - it is a member of the Textboxes collection and is designed to be used on the worksheet.
