I have text (Yes and No) in various cells. If the cell contains a Yes, I
want the color to be Blue.

I've gone into conditional formatting and selected:
Cell Value is
Equal to
Yes
(and then formatted to blue text)

When I do this, I get no change. Can someone help??

When you go back into the conditional formatting after you've entered
it, the formula should look like this:

="Yes"

If it has double double quotes (like ""Yes""), it won't work.

Let Excel change it to ="Yes"

You just type plain old Yes in the dialog box with no quotes.

Excel will handle it from there.

If you type "Yes" then you will wind up with =""Yes""
