why does excel return a : when I put in a .
Does anyone know why when I enter =SUM(A1.A22)
Excel 2003 automatically changes the formula to =SUM(A1:A22) I would be grateful for feedback Thanks |

why does excel return a : when I put in a .
The proper syntax is to use a colon, not a period. I think Excel

Why would you put a decimal point(period) in the formula?
