My return key doesn't work when I am in Excel. When I press it, instead of
moving to the next row, nothing happens. It works in other programs (i.e.
Word). Anyone have this happen to them?

Go to the Tools menu, choose Options, then the Edit tab. There,
ensure "Move selection after Enter" is checked, and select a
direction.

Most likely in the course of clicking around you inadvertently changed
a setting. On the menu if you click Tools Options and select the
Edit tab, check the box for Move Selection After Enter. There's a
dropdown to select what direction you want to move.
