I have a user who had an application error while working on an Excel sheet.
The OS is 2K Pro... the error told the user that Excel would be shutdown,
which it was. Luckily the user had been saving their work and there is a
copy to go back to. However when this file is now opened... the file name
changes on the window to indicate that the file is now open, however there is
nothing there... not even a single worksheet tab. Everything on the menus
are grayed out...

Interestingly enough, if I go into WORD and force this Excel file open with
Word... I can see the data as it is able to convert it. Is there any reason
for this behavior that would cause a 1.5mb file not to be able to be opened
in Excel? HELP!!!

One additional bit of information for my post...
When opening this file in WORD... when the option to open the entire
workbook, etc.. comes up... I am able to sort through the worksheets in that
workbook..

Not sure if that helps, but it at least indicates to me that this file is
some how still intact.

Try
window|arrange|tiled
and resize the way you like it.
