Default open an exel workbook from my recent documents

When I try to open any Excel worksheet from "My Recent Documents" list I gert
error saying Excel cannot find this document. But I can open it ok from
withing Excel. Any ideas??

Default open an exel workbook from my recent documents

Hi Pat,

maybe windows record an old direction of the file, on the "recent" list,
maybe you could file it on other path later

To add to Marcelo's response... if you right click on the link for Recent
Documents you can see the target path that is being used.

Default open an exel workbook from my recent documents

Try the usual fix(es) for this problem.

ToolsOptionsGeneral uncheck "Ignore other Applications"
Exit Excel and try again

If this doesn't work try to re-register Excel

Close Excel first and On the Windows Taskbar

1) StartRun "excel.exe /unregserver"(no quotes)OK.
2) StartRun "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)OK.
See the space between exe and /regserver

You might have to designate a full path to excel.exe.
In that case StartRun "C:\yourpath\excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)OK.
