How about pasting to notepad and then into the cell from Notepad.
To effect the same thing more seamlessly you can use PureText at http://www.stevemiller.net/ click on Applications. This is what I use and it is a tremendous time saver. Don't forget to use Format, cells, alignment, word wrap so you can use the width of the columns you want. The later versions of Excel work better. I never had Excel 97 but it was the first version to support HTML. --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "Porphyria" wrote in message ups.com... I guess I mean support HTML as in round tripping. There has always
been some manner of support for creating HTML files which is the opposite of what you want. Though it is not what I wanted to add, I have some more information in Paste / Pasting. Cut & Paste http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/paste.htm The page I was actually looking for that may be of interest to you is Delete Cells/Rows in Range, based on empty cells, or cells with specific values http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/delempty.htm http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/code/delempty.txt I used these a lot with Excel 95 and have used them occasionally on Excel 2000 and Excel 2002, but pasting into Excel usually worked fairly decently. |
