![]() i have saved as a workbook and made some amendments in it to use for some other purpose. when I open that new workbook it sometimes gives a message that macro cannot be run because of security level (explaining message in my own words) but this do not happen each time when I open that book. what's that mystery. -- starguy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ starguy's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=32434 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=554561 |

You will get that message depending on how you have youir security settings
in excel via 'Tools'...'options'....'security'....'macro security' to see what macros you have in a sheet you should be able to go 'tools'...'macro'...'macros' and see a list of any macros you have. You'd have to know of course which macro name is causing you the problem before deleting it. You may not have any macros, just empty module(s) or sheet/workbook code
snippets. See Debra Dalgleish's site for how to trace down those macros. http://www.contextures.on.ca/xlfaqMac.html#NoMacros Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Thu, 22 Jun 2006 09:12:52 -0500, starguy wrote: i have saved as a workbook and made some amendments in it to use for some other purpose. when I open that new workbook it sometimes gives a message that macro cannot be run because of security level (explaining message in my own words) but this do not happen each time when I open that book. what's that mystery. |

OT here, sorry ..
(just to comm with the OP: starguy) starguy, I've responded at least twice <g to your latest follow up in the thread: dynamic formula needed [View thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=551813 ] Here's what I replied to you (~10 hours ago): ------- "starguy" wrote: can I copy this formula in Main to the right for more subjects like 2.2, 2.3 and so on and same way in those sheets. Yes, of course. Just extend to suit .. ------- I can see my replies getting through from where I'm currently posting (MS Office Online webpage) but it no longer seems to propagate through to Excelforum. Maybe that thread's too deep ?? (I dunno <g) Just thought I'd piggyback this thread to get through to you .. -- Max Singapore http://savefile.com/projects/236895 xdemechanik --- |
