Default sorting a sheet with outlined rows

I have a large sheet with about 1000 rows that are outlined/hidden. I am
trying to sort a thousand rows that are above this range, but when I do, the
wrong rows are sorted. I discovered, after much agita, that when I remove the
outlined rows, the data sorts properly. Known bug?
