With 01:30 in A1
=MOD(A1-"02:00",1) replace "02:00" with a cell where you put the time you want to subtract -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom Excel 95 - Excel 2007 Northwest Excel Solutions www.nwexcelsolutions.com "It is a good thing to follow the first law of holes; if you are in one stop digging."
