![]() Hello, this is the 2nd time that this happens to me: I have an excel table and want to apply the same formula to the whole table, however the 1st value occurs in all others cells as well. Here I want to calculate the frequency but get the result from the 1st line in the others lines as well. It looks like the cells are locked, but I checked the security and it is fine. Any ideas ? Thanks ! -- chum ------------------------------------------------------------------------ chum's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=34262 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=540975 |

Hi,
Maybe you have absolute references in the first cell. Like $A$1 If you remove the $-signs and copy down the formula it might work. Regards, Bondi |

![]() Hello, I did not put any $ sign, usually when I scroll down excel updates automatically the calculation ; if I click again in one of the cell, I can see that the formula has been updated, but the result's calculation is the same as the 1st one, and to get the correct I have to click enter in each cell, weird isn't it ? thanks -- chum ------------------------------------------------------------------------ chum's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=34262 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=540975 |

Hi,
It forces calculation. If you go to Tools - Options and select the Calculations tab you can mark the Automatic Calculation option. I think yours might be on the Manual Calculations option. Regards, Bondi |
