Default Office 2000 Excel Macro runs very slow in 2003, why?

Hi

I have a user who had a macro that ran fine under Office 2000. Following a
recent upgrade to Office 2003 the macro's are running really really slowly.
He assures me that he has made no changes to the files.

We have also tried running them from a different location, (files are
usually on a shared network drive) but even running them on the local mchaine
takes ages.

Any ideas of a setting that needs tweaking or a an update required for the
macro? Since the macro is a fairly big one the user is not too keen to build
it from scratch again. (This was my initial suggestion)

Thanks for any help,

Mike
