excel loads another workbook to run the macro...
Hello there, In my workbook, I have created a custom toolbar with buttons that activates macros. After I have saved the master file under a back-up name, I close it. Then I want to re-open the master file, at that moment if I click on a button on the custom toolbar, excel loads the file with the back-up name in order to access the macro. Do you know any way around this ? Your life will become much simpler if you include code to create the toolbar
when the workbook is opened and include code to destroy the toolbar when the workbook is closed. For additions to the worksheet menu bar, I really like the way John Walkenbach does it in his menumaker workbook: http://j-walk.com/ss/excel/tips/tip53.htm Here's how I do it when I want a toolbar: http://www.contextures.com/xlToolbar02.html (from Debra Dalgleish's site) micmacuk wrote: Hello there, In my workbook, I have created a custom toolbar with buttons that activates macros. excel loads another workbook to run the macro...
Thanks Dave, I understand.... What a task ahead of me as the tool bar I have done has several menu and sub menu + pictures shapes as arrow to navigate dates...etc.... I had already wrote a macro to load the toolbar when opening that file and unloade it when closing in the private workbook thingy.... Thought it would have been enough. Anyway...thanks again for your tip.
