Default Pasting Graphs - making me crazy!

Hey Everyone,

I have some graphs in one workbook that I would like to paste into a
new workbook. When I paste them, the size of the graph changes as does
the size of all the fonts and then when I go back to the original graph,
that has changed too! It is soooo frustrating and wasting heaps of time
to get them looking as they should.

I am simply copying and pasting the graphs. Is there any way that I
can just get the graphs to paste the same as the original and have the
original graph to stay the same?

I am also having this problem when I paste graphs into Powerpoint.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

BankC

The simplest way is to copy and paste as a picture.

Select the area surrounding the graph or chart and, while holding down the
SHIFT key pull-down:

Edit Copy Picture

In PowerPoint, just paste. Because the result is just a picture it can be
moved or re-sized like any other picture.

In the Excel copy, experiment with whether bitmapped or picture gives you
the best results.
