![]() I presume that you are using the comma as the decimal point. Sometimes a formula copied into a cell shows as a formula but does not calculate, I notice this quite often when copying formula from this forum. Editing the cell will activate the formula, but in your case the item uses a comma for the decimal point, if you do not then you could have a problem, as the 'formula' may then be considered 'text' HTH -- jocke Wrote: hi guys. can anyone tell me why my cell changes when i edit an excisting formula. Like this. original formula: =F1*F3*1,66 shows in spreadsheet the correct value like "18" when i edit the formula then the spreadsheet shows "=F1*F3*1,667" in text if i delete the cell and type in the formula again, it's ok if i edit the formula once again then the same thing happens again (cell value shows like text) regards Jocke -- Bryan Hessey ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bryan Hessey's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=21059 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=534876 |
