![]() I've inherited a sheet with thoussands of defined names. Only problem is that one of the cells I need data from is looking at a defined name that no longer exists (when I F5 to find it, it is not there). When I double click through to the cell, an error message comes up. Two questions: (1) how can I find which cell (s) the activecell is looking at? (2) If the defined name no longer exists, could excel be remembering the last data value that it had before the defined name was deleted, or will it continue to look in teh same cells, despite the name being wrong? Your help would be much appreciated. Don't know if there's another solution but in the ASAP utilities is a
function to list all the names in a workbook, whether they still exist and where they are looking. I have found this very useful in the past. www.asap-utilities.com giz "Romanian37" wrote: I've inherited a sheet with thoussands of defined names.
