Default Drop Down FIlters.

Hi I have a complex question.

I need:

A drop down box with the months Jan- December (i have this sorted)

I need this drop down box and whatever month is in it to look at
another worksheet, here it must look for all entries in January for
example.
When it has found these entries i need it to count the number of
'passes' that occur in row 4 of a sheet. I have tried using DSUM but am
not completely sure how to use it in this scenario.

I have no idea how to combat this problem and hope i have explained
above.

Thanks in advance

I don't get:

"When it has found these entries i need it to count the number of
'passes' that occur in row 4 of a sheet."

I need the formulae:

To look at the drop down box, if this = January for example i need it
to look at a quantity of data which will include many other months.

The formulae will then need to count the number of values that occur.
These values are limited to 'Pass' and 'Fail'.

Therefore e.g if the month is january it will look at all january
entries and count the number of pass values.....

I can take a closer look if someone more adept doesn't chime in first,
but does part of your issue relate to how to pull information from the
DDM choice? Or is this all just what formula to use?

I am not familiar with the type of DDM you have. I inserted one that I
am familiar with and know how to configure. It seems like the only
hold up is how to identify which columns to look at when counting
passes and fails. I just don't have the time to do it for you but now
at least I can speak to the issues you encounter. Take a look and let
me know if you are seeing anything that is new and helpful with this
task. Note that you can right click on the DDM and choose options for
it (such as which cell to link the choice to ... see "calculations"
sheet I added).
