Default Locking Cells ... Without Protecting Sheet

Hello;

It's not possible to affect the lock cells format without protecting the
w/s. But protecting the w/s unables certain properties of the Range Class
(such as Hide for example).

Suppose I want to restrict my changes on a worksheet to cells G5:G9,
G13:G14, I7, I13:14, and still be able to hide rows, columns, etc., as
applicable.

I've tried cell shadding & thick border lines to visually identified those
cells, but ocassionally would enter a value or a formula to the wrong cell
and the algorithm would crash !!

Would appreciate your suggestion. Thank you.
