Default Sorting Data from Multiple Workbooks

I have taken data from one worksheet in "Workbook 1" and pasted it as a link
into a separate Workbook "Workbook 2", so that when the data in Workbook 1 is
changed/updated, it will automatically change/update in Workbook 2. With
that said, I am trying to add additional columns of data to Workbook 2;
however, these columns are not connecting to/associating with the linked
cells when the original linked cells are sorted, etc. For example, when
Workbook 1 is sorted, the linked cells in Workbook 2 sort, but the added
colums do not, so the data across rows is no longer accurate. Is there any
way to connect/associate these new columns with the pasted link columns so
that everything sorts correctly?
