Everytime I move, copy, format data my response slows down & the file gets
bigger.
It shoukd be between 500k & 1meg but now has mushroomed to around 12meg &
response is almost non-existent.
I have 15 worksheets in this file, of varying sizes.
Any suggestions anybody?

install and run the macro under that topic, forget about doing it manually
the macro will do it correctly and will fix the entire workbook. You should
use File, Save when the macro completes.
