When I add new lines to expand a worksheet, existing formulas do not extend
to the new lines. I have the Tools/Options/Edit 'Extend List Formats & Formulas' box checked. Should this happen automatically? |

Yes it should. But it doesn't happen when you insert the row, but rather it happens after you enter the data in the new row. -- Jim "BillyV" wrote in message ... Thanks very much. I've actually had that happen in the past after I entered
data, and didn't know why. But I am working on a new spreadsheet, and nothing I try seems to extend the formulas, even entering data - I'm still stumped. I'm still stumped.
Me too. I guess I'd have to see the worksheet or a snippet of it that has the problem. MS did document how auto extend works if you want to sleuth further: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/231002/ -- Jim "BillyV" wrote in message ... | Thanks very much. Thanks again - I'll give that a try.

That support side helped a lot - thanks for the tip. I found a couple of
other things there too. My worksheet is still erratic - works sometimes, and not other times. The support site suggests it could have to do with the way the above cells are formatted, which I don't want to change. But at least I (probably) know why. Thanks again.
