My worksheets won't allow me to use colour fonts. I can write in colour while
in a cell, but the cell contents revert to black when I press "Enter" or "Tab" and leave the cell. I've never come across this problem before. I have tried to repair the Office 2003 installation, but it has not solved the problem. |

If you're talking about the text colors when you are writing formulas, that
is an Excel typing aid that just helps to keep track of where you are when writing nested formulas. It's a great help in keeping track of closed parenthesis as it matches the color of the formula text it is closing. How ever, this is just a visual aid and does not modify the color of the text when you enter it into a cell. To change the color of a font, from the menu clickFORMAT and select CELLS. Click the FONT tab in the formatting dialog box and select the color of the font from the COLOR combo box located roughly about mid-point on the dialog page. -- Kevin Backmann "BAB" wrote: My worksheets won't allow me to use colour fonts. Thanks Kevin, but I'm not talking about colours when writing formulas and I
also know how to change font colours using the Format command. It's just that the colour selected won't remain when I leave the cell. Any further thoughts? If the high contrast setting is turned on you won't see the font colour.
There's information in the following MSKB article: Changes to the fill color and the fill pattern are not displayed in Office programs http://support.microsoft.com/?id=320531 BAB wrote: My worksheets won't allow me to use colour fonts.
