I'm having a problem with the shortcut keys in Excel. If I press CTRL
+S to save, instead of saving, the cursor jumps down and highlights a bunch of cells. It does it in every workbook. The only way to get rid of it is to restart my computer, but it will invariably come back. Pressing CTRL +O and CTRL +P does the same thing as well, but it will jump to a different set of cells with each one. |

Maybe you have a macro that's taken over control??
Close excel and reopen in safe mode. Windows start button|Run excel /safe file|open your workbook Test it out. If it works ok, then you may want to do some detective work to find out what the cause is: Chip Pearson has some notes on how to diagnose startup errors at: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/StartupErrors.htm And Jan Karel Pieterse has more notes at: http://www.jkp-ads.com/Articles/StartupProblems.htm Dbk wrote: I'm having a problem with the shortcut keys in Excel. It sounds like an add-in has hijacked those keys. See
www.cpearson.com/excel/startuperrors.htm for some diagnostic steps. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com "Dbk" wrote in message oups.com...
