Default Color pallette changed spontaneously, what the...?

Is there any known bug, spyware, or otherwise where the color pallette
is changed without any input from the user?

I just had a user complain of the colors changing. I stopped by and
everthing looked fine with the exception of the color pallette. All of
the colors had changed, and the user swears he did nothing to make the
change occur. This change is in effect for all workbooks.

I already went to ToolsOptionsColor and tried to Reset, which did
nothing?

Is there any easy fix for this short of trying to run a repair from the
installation CD?

PS It's Excel 2003 (Office 2003 Professional) on W-XP Pro SP2.
