Chip Pearson has a very nice addin that will help determine what that
character(s) is: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/CellView.htm Dennis wrote: Using 2003 Would like to use a mid() to obtain all information in the text string (a cell) up to the space before the "·" in (1029 · Money Market Acccount) Therefore, in this case my formula would return "1029" In another case my text is (1029-25 · Money Market Acccount) In turn, my desired text would be "1029-25" What combination of Find() or Mid() or what ever do I use to do the task? Initially, I must ascertain how to obtain the chr() value of the "·" character? No? Dennis -- Dave Peterson |
