Default Pointer Options

If someone could help, it would be great.

I am using excel 2003, before I had 2000 and I was able to highlite a row of
cells we'll say half with numbers and the other half empty.

in 2000 I was able to select all of them and go to the lower right corner
and the pointer would turn into a "+" then the empty cells would auto fill
counting up or down.

My problem is that the "+" does not apear.

any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Excel 2003 should work the same way. Be sure your cursor is
exactly on the little black square in the lower right corner of
the active cell.

Click on Tools | Options | Edit (tab) and check "Allow cell Drag &

Hope this helps.
