Default Margin Trouble

I have to email a spreadsheet that I made to a co-worker but each time I do,
when he receives it, the margins change. They show correctly on my computer
but when he gets it goes from 2 to 3 pages. It's not convienent for him to
change the margins each time he recieves them. What is going wrong?

Hmmm.....that *is* odd. Or, maybe not. 99% of the sheets I create use the
option I mentioned to you, because when I send them to my home office, the
people there are too clueless to deal with print-invoked margin changes. I
wish I had a 2nd machine set up here so I could try and reproduce what
you're experiencing.

Various printers require a different amount of white space at the edge of
the paper, so the number of pages will change at print time. If you don't
think it will affect readability (much), and you MUST stay on two pages,
click File, Page Setup, make sure you're on the Page tab. In the "Fit to"
option, make it 1 page wide by 2 pages tall. Excel will choose the right
amount of shrinkage to make this happen.

I wish you did too. I can't figure this out at all. I don't know why when
you email a doc the formats wouldn't stay with it. I don't know if this is a
"problem" or if it's normal. If you think of something, let me know. It's
causing major havoc around here. :(

While we're wondering about this, how about this:

1) Record a macro as you change the margins.
2) Put a custom button on the sheet, attached to the macro.
3) Format the button so it doesn't print.

Oooh....slick! It'll make fixing the margins into a one-click deal. Just be
sure that when recording the macro, you set the margins by typing in the
numbers, not by dragging the margins in print preview.

This would really put the "K" in "Kustom"! :)
