Default Exporting from Excel

I'm trying to export data from excel to access but I keep getting a syntax
error when I run the export. It seems to error out whenever I have a hyphen
in one of my text fields. For example "L.F. O'Leary". It errors out on this
because of the hyphen. Everything is set up as text format so why would it
error out because of the hyphen?

Correction... It's not a hyphen, it's an apostrophe that is causing the error.
