Default File Save As -Selected Range

In Lotus 1-2-3 I can save a selected range as a different file name and/or to
a different directory using the 'File Save As' option and checking the "Save
Selected Range Only". How can I do that in Excel 2002?

You could start a new workbook (single sheet?) and copy|paste to that sheet.
Then save that workbook where ever you want.
