Default how to select fewer cells without canceling original selection

this is an assignment i have.. i have looked all over and tried the office
assitant and alot of things even read a manual and i couldnt find it. Thank

With your selection highlighted, hold the shift key down and use the arrow
keys to decrease selection.

Hold down the CTRL key as you select or deselect cells one at a time. This
is also the way to select cells which are not contiguous.

Try the unselect code from Chip Pearson.

Two sets of code.........one for deselecting single cells and one for
deselecting ranges.

You can't unselect a cell with the CTRL key.

I just did. I'm using Excel 2000. Is it possible it behaves differently than
later versions?

I also have excel 2000 but can't deselect cells using the Ctrl key.

lmao, Excel 2007 missed some of the simplest things, hahahaha, you need an
add-in to deselect cells. I am having the same problem.
