I went to a https secure site and logged on. Clicked a link to generate a
report and a new window came up without an toolbars. Selected the type of report to generate and that produced a webpage with a table and some other information. I right-clicked the table and selected "Export to Microsoft Excel" and it opened Microsoft Excel and in cell $A$1 it said "Getting Data..." The query prompts me for my logon information to the secure site and after I entered it, I get "Unable to open https://***/reports/report162Input.do. Cannot download the information you requested." When I tried to edit the query I see a page saying: "Your Session has Timed out. Please click OK to exit." I also get this message if I try to put the web address directly on another webpage, as if I'm trying to bypass security. However, I'm already in the system so I'm not bypassing it. If I try to start from the main screen in the eqit query and select all of the same buttons and generate the report, I see the table in the edit query dialog box and can select it, but I still get the same error. Is there a way I can record my steps in the query or should I try a macro. What do you think? I cannot send you the actual webpages or any other information on the webpages as it is confidential. |
