Default Looking Up Range of Numbers

I wish to validate a serial number against a table of transactions of
ranges of serial numbers eg serial number is 73 and ranges are 1-25,
26-50,50-100. What is the best way to do this? thanks

It is not clear what you are trying to do, but have a look at the Vlookup
and Match function with the TRUE option. This will work if your range is
sorted.
