Default In Excel formatted wrapped text displays as xxx in cell

Formatted cells: Tabs are set as follows:
Number = Text
Alignment = Horizontal-General/Vertical-Bottom/Text Control-Wrap
Text/Right-to-left-Context
Font = True Type
Borner = none
Patterns = none
Protection = none
PROBLEM - Text OK in formula bar (fx), but displays as "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
in cell.
Any help would be appreciated.

Excel has a problem with cells that contain 255 but <1024 characters.

Fornat the cell to General and your ############## should go away.
