Default How to remove Old values from a pivot (data dimension)

I have a pivot sheet referring to a dataset where I have period which i want
to have as a data set. now was that for example 200511. I deleted that info
and now only have other values there like 200601 or so but in the dropdown
box of the period ( data column) this old value 200511 is still there I can't
get ride of it ( in the dropdown) not even after refreshing the pivot.

How do i make sure that values which are not in the Datasource anymore are
being removed from all dropdown boxes (page, row as data)

Regards,

HI Roger, I tried that and it didnot work, i applied the script which was on
the website of contextures and that only worked on the Data fields but the
values in the Page boxes still existed after running the macro

Hi Linda

On the PT, drag the field off the PT, use the Refresh button on the PT
toolbar, then drag the field back to its original location.

Hi Linda

Did you drag these page fields off the PT and do the Refresh as well?
With the field dragged off the PT, try highlighting the field in the PT
field listRefreshthen drag back.

Silly question, but are you sure there are no entries in the source data
still containing the value?
What happens if you deselect all items other than the "offending" Item?
Do you see any figures within the PT itself?
