Default how to return a date between two cells

I need help writing a formula that would choose two dates:

EX.

Column O Column P Column S

10/31/05 11/7/05 (need formula to return 10/31/05)

11/7/05 10/31/05 (need formula to return 10/31/05)

=MIN(O1:P1)
