Default Automated Formulas in Excel 2003

When I first started using this document the formulas would update
automatically but they have stopped. I now have to click on every box, click
on the typing bar and press enter for each formula I want to update. Since
this document is quite extensive with linked pages I would like formulas to
update automatically. I am using Excel 2003.

Looks like your calculations is set to MANUAL, goto
Tools/Option/Calculation and select AUTOMATIC.
