Default how do I filter on text format in Excel?

I have a workbook containing text that I wish to filter based on the format
of some words. IOW, for instance, all records (rows) with cells containing
text of a certain font color, or perhaps characters with the strikethrough
mark. I'm relatively familiar with advanced filtering, but this appears to be
something requiring a "filter by formula". Does anyone have any experience
in this area?
