![]() What if I have 4 conditions that I want to input? Excel is only letting me input up to 3. Is there any way of adding a 4th? -- sabunabu ------------------------------------------------------------------------ sabunabu's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=29395 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=491126 |

![]() The above instructions do not seem to be working. I am trying to color code by 1st-2nd-3rd and 4th quartile. So, if the investment is in the top 25%, I want it to be green. If it is in the 25%-50% range, I want it to be yellow. So on and so forth. However, I followed the instructions from Microsoft. The first condition: Cell value is less than or equal to 1st-- green fill. 2nd condition: Cell value is between 1st and 3rd-- yellow fill. 3rd condition: Cell value is between 2nd and 4th-- orange fill. With all cells still highlighted, fill red. When I input data that puts it in the 3rd quartile, the fill is staying yellow. It should switch to orange. What am I doing wrong? -- sabunabu ------------------------------------------------------------------------ sabunabu's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=29395 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=491126 |

Set all the cells to say the 4th colour manually, then just use CF to test 3
conditions. -- HTH RP (remove nothere from the email address if mailing direct) "sabunabu" wrote in message ... The above instructions do not seem to be working. Your conditional statements overlap. --ron |
