Hi

I am using Excel 2000 SP3
is there a shortcut for mrerging cells in a column?

Select the cells to merge and then hit the Merge and Center icon on the
formatting toolbar. (Then hit the justification icon to make it the way you
want.)

I was hoping there was a Keyboard Shortcut.

Once you do it, you can use F4 to repeat the last action (don't do anything
important in between).

ps.

If you wanted to merge (row by row) say A1:G99, you can add an icon to a
toolbar.

Tools|Customize|Commands tab|format category
look for Merge Across
and drag it to your favorite toolbar.
