Default copy cells which are horizontal to verticle

Hi,
How do I copy a set of cells which are horizontal to verticle or vice versa?
For example:

A B C D E F G H I J
1 a
2 b
3 c
4 d
5
6

To become

A B C D E F G H I J
1 a b c d
2
3
4
5
6

Thanks.

You could copy the selection and then use paste special and check the
transpose check box on the bottom right corner of the dialog box.

Is there a short cut key for paste special?

You can add the toolbar button (Right click on any toolbar and select
customize... and look under the edit category and when you find it, just
drag and drop it on a toolbar)
