Default Excel startup and named worksheets

Hi! I'm baffled! I need some help!

When I startup Excel, instead of getting a blank worksheet, I get TWO
worksheets the first one titled: Personal.xls:1 and behind it is the second
one titled: Personal.xls:2.

I want a blank, untitled worksheet to come up when I start Excel.

I have looked through the help files and it points me to look in the General
tab in Options at the "at startup, open all files in:" block and clear it,
but there is nothing in that box to clear. There is also nothing in the
XLSTART.folder for me to clear.

Thanks in advance!
Kat
