Default Can't sign out!

Hi,

I can't sign out from this site! Please can someone reassure me that I'll
be signed out once I close this instance of my web browser - if, indeed, that
is the case? Or can someone advise me what to do?

Thanks,

jessj

When I access news groups via Google groups
http://groups.google.com/group/micro...ic.excel.misc/
.... there is a sign out link in the upper right corner. Google groups
uses cookies to keep you signed in: if the web site you access from
uses cookies you should be able to sign out entirely by cleaning up all
your cookies. From Windows, click Programs Accessories System Tools
Disk Cleanup.

Hi,

I'm so sorry to have taken so long to respond. Meanwhile I forgot which
..net passport controlled newsgroup I had posted this to! Further apologies
for any cross-posting, but I'll repeat some of what I posted yesterday to one
of the XP newsgoups. And incidentally, I don't go through Google newsgroups
- as yet.

O.K.... If anyone's interested... Killing cookies, or just re-registering
might well do
the trick. (Microsoft, presumabely USA, didn't want to know, and told me to
tell Microsoft UK.)

And my posts to the wrong group (ref. another of my queries) seem to occur
when I sign in after choosing a group and immediately before I post, rather
than when I sign in as soon as I get on the website and before I choose a
group. I feel this issue is somehow related to .net passport's getting
confused.

Anyway, thanks for the info., and I'll get around to sorting it out at some
point.
