Default Hyperlinks in Excel

I am trying to set-up some Hyperlinks for a file. The links work fine but
everytime the links are clicked, a new application window opens rather than
returning to an open application. Can a Hyperlink be set-up to open only one
copy of a file and then refer to that if it already is open?

Default Hyperlinks in Excel

When you use the Insert Hyperlink from the menu bar, You should get a
dialog box which gives you options of type of file, and Link To Options to
the left.
