Default Very simple function not working

Hi,

I have a list of letters and numbers in B2. I am putting in the formula
=b2 in the cell next to it and dragging the formula down. The formula
looks fine if I go into each cell and has copied correctly i.e =b3, =b4
e.t.c but all the cells show the info from b2?!?!?! if I click the = for
a non working cell and then ok it calculates it correctly but I have
thousands of them to do.

Please help!!!

Scott.

Sounds to me that the Options for Calculation are set to Manual...

Select Tools
Select Options
Select the Calculation Tab
Select the Automatic Radio button

Try it out

Please check the setting under ToolsOptionsCalculation -- it should be
set to Automatic. Is it?
