In column A I have names, in column B I have another set of names.
How do I get both sets of names in 1 cell, as a continuous string, with a
space between each string?

Copy the formula down.
Copy all cells.
Edit--Paste special--Values, OK (to get rid of the formulas)

Use a formula in another column, like

=A2&" "&B2

and drag it down.
