Default Macro in Excel

Hello, I'm looking for a macro in Excel, which could do the following :

a) Convert one Excel sheet to CSV format,
b) Call an external program (myprogram.exe) which is a console program,
with some arguments to convert the CSV file to another format .
Or maybe the macro could call a .BAT file which calls itself the
myprogram.exe program with the required arguments.

Is this possible ? Is this easy to do ? I'm sorry, but I don't know
very much about writing macros in Office (and moreover Excel) programs.

Thanks for any hint or advice.
