Excel Dash formatting
I'm a teacher and I am in the process of making a score sheet for all my classes. All my students have a "-" (its not a formatted dash, it is an actual dash that has been typed in) in their student ID, which I need to remove because when I go to look at their information on the data base their ID has to be without the dash.
Yes I am aware that in other threads this has been talked about, but the only solution I could find was the "Find-Replace" solution. My problem is: 1. I have 8 different classes this term and I don't want to do it for each class 2. I will be doing this again next term and I don't want to find-replace again 3. I'm making this sheet for some other teachers as well, who are not technologically inclined so the less instructions I can give them the better. I need a formula or something to put into the student ID cells that will remove the dash when all the students ID, class index, and Name are copied and pasted in. Thanks for the help, iFarang ;-) |
