Default font color

I would like to change the font color in Excel to a light grey. I tried
using the color palette. The color is changed on the screen but does not
change the way my B&W laser printer prints. It prints as black. Any
suggestions?

If you have the page setup to print the sheet as black and white, then this
may be the reason. Go to FilePage Setup. Under the Sheet tab there is an
option to print the sheet as black and white. If this box is checked, then
uncheck it and try again. Other than that, I'm not sure.
